I was born in Lewiston and brought up as a Catholic. Started attending St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Newcastle in 1993 and worshiped there until my wife Linda and I moved to Bangor in 2013. I started attending St Johns upon moving here and I joined the vestry in 2015. Linda is in a Ph.D. program in Orono (molecular biology).
I graduated from Bates College in 1969 and have had several careers – marine scientist, oyster farm, home builder, lobster co-op manager and trade show sales (since 1994). We have two sons, one in Rochester, NY and one in Portland and three grandchildren.
I retired in May of 2017 and I very much enjoy travel, classical music, outdoor activities, and playing bridge. In retirement I am taking French at the University of Maine.
