Donald Lewis, Vestry Member
Donald Lewis -3 Year Vestry Position
Donald C. Lewis Jr is a long-time member of St. John’s. I was baptized here in December of 1937 and was confirmed here about 1950. I served as an acolyte and was active in the
parish through high school and college. I served for a number of years in the early 2000’s as Treasurer of the church under three rectors, and became Jr. Warden in 2019 and served several years in that position. During my time as JW, a solution to the crumbling tower was urgently needed and with the support of many in the church, especially co-chair Ralph Whedon, saw the problem, quickly found a solution and completed the project, on time and within budget.
I am married to Claudia and our blended family has a number of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
My business career has included creating and leading, new businesses and products. I am now retired but still do some consulting work nationally and internationally. I hold several patents that were the basis of some of the businesses. I am a retired Professional Engineer.
I have served as a commissioner of the Brewer Housing Authority (20 years), Maine State Housing Authority Advisory Board, Efficiency Maine Trust board of directors I am also a founder and director of the Ellen M. Leach Home (over 30 years).
