Our family moved to Bangor in 1988 when I retired from the US Army.  While on active duty, I was an artillery officer, helicopter pilot in Vietnam, a dentist and an orthodontist.   Our daughter Kristen was born in Germany, and our son David was born in Alaska.   Both have remained in Bangor with Kristen being a pediatrician and David being an engineer. In settling in Bangor, I purchased an existing orthodontic practice and practiced orthodontics for 25 years before retiring.  My late wife Ruth and I have been lifelong Episcopalians and since becoming members of St. John’s, both of our children have been baptized here (as have their children), have married here, our parents were buried here, and my son, David, even had his Eagle Scout Court of honor here.

My ministry at St. John’s includes supporting the wonderful music program and singing in the choir, which went to England several times in the past to sing for services at  great cathedrals there.  I look forward to contributing positively to the growth and development of our church and its family.
