Charlene Boggins- Vestry Member

I was born and raised in Bangor. I spent several years as an outside sales professional in the state of Maine. I then moved to the west coast for 15 years, returning with my husband and daughter in 2009. I own and operate Nourish Salon, which specializes in helping people with hair loss. As a stylist and cancer survivor myself, my goal is to provide services for men and women who are experiencing hereditary and medical hair loss.
St. John’s has been my family’s church for generations. When I returned to Maine in 2009, my family attended Christmas services. It wasn’t until after my father’s passing in January, 2024, however, when Fr. Nutter officiated at my father’s funeral, that St. John’s became my church home again. The community has been welcoming and supportive as my spiritual growth has become my priority. My family and I quickly became active members of the church, serving as Acolytes and Lectors, members of Great Wednesday Bible Study, the St. Andrew’s Guild and the Education for Ministry program.
I have seen many great things happen at St. John’s in the past year; it would be a privilege to be able to serve St. John’s as a member of the Vestry and to continue living into St. John’s mission – “To know and to share the love of Jesus Christ.”
