Delores Landry, Vestry Treasurer

As one of the newer members of St. John’s Episcopal Church, I can honestly say this community provides so much more than I ever could have hoped for. I was new to the Episcopal Church. I had attended other denominations but none aligned with my personal values more than St. John’s. I had been searching for a community that was welcoming, accepting, and a safe place to learn and grow in faith. I found all of that at St. John’s.
I became an active member of the Church making Sunday worship a priority. I am now in my third season of Great Wednesdays, a member of the St. Andrew’s Guild and served my first year on Vestry.
I currently work as the Director of Operations/Bookkeeper for Sky Villa Properties. Prior to that, I spent eight years as the Executive Director for Sarah’s House of Maine, a cancer hospitality house in Holden. During my time at Sarah’s House, I was tasked with growing both awareness and financial support for what started out as a new non-profit. During my time there I worked closely with our accountant to establish and maintain our annual budget. I know that hard-earned donor dollars require true stewardship. I have been an active member of the Rotary Club of Bangor, spending the past 6 years on the Board in leadership roles.
My sincerest pleasures in life are time spent with family and friends. I have already made so many wonderful friends at St. John’s and look forward to making more. I appreciate the welcoming environment this church offers and hope to share it with others.
