Alleluias

On February 15th our children will be invited to clear our church of “Alleluias” in preparation for Lent. During Lent the ‘A word’ is put away until we say it again on Easter. To help the children understand this liturgical habit we will hide “Alleluias” all over the church and after church the children will be invited to gather them all up. All the Alleluias will be reverently placed in a box that will be opened by the children on Easter morning!

Bible Discovery Group for Intermediate Aged Children During Lent

During Lent, Mary-Frances will lead a weekly Bible Discovery meeting for children ages 8 to 12 after church in the Rector’s office starting on February 22nd. Using a new set of “GO Bible’s” published by Tyndale, Mary-Frances will lead a fun and interactive exploration of the Gospel of Mark. Biblical Fluency is a focus of our catechesis for children and this offering will help children feel comfortable opening the bible, finding books, chapters and verses, reading the bible while giving them the freedom to ask every question and interpret scripture using their imagination, heart and intellect.

In Children’s Chapel, we celebrate the boundless curiosity and wonder of our young ones as we delve into the stories and lessons of the Bible. We aim to cultivate a nurturing and engaging environment that teaches our youngest member the stories of their faith and promotes spiritual growth and a strong sense of community.

We invite you to join us at our Nursery, ages 0-3, and Children’s Chapel, ages 4-10, where your child’s spiritual journey will guide them toward knowing and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. For inquiries or to register, please contact Mary-Frances Beesorchard.

All of our teachers, volunteers and nursery staff are Safe Church trained. For more information about Safe Church Training in Maine, click here.
